Formal Functions

Lunchtime Functions are between 12.00 and 2.00pm and are charged at £17.50 per person

Functions served after this time will be treated as dinner functions and will be charged at £23.95 per person.

Our aim is to provide you with thehighest possible level of service and food quality. In order to achieve this we ask that you either:

a) Choose one starter, main course and dessert on behalf of your guests

or

b) Select a choice of three starters, main courses and desserts and obtain a pre order from your guests at least one week prior to the date of your function

Alternatively the formal buffet menu may be served.

Vegetarians and special dietary needs can be catered for separately.

Starters

A tain of crab and prawns layered with a fresh basil mayonnaise
surrounded with a selection of continental lettuce leaves

Thinly sliced duck breast set on a base of baby lettuce leaves and
topped with an orange scented vinaigrette dressing

A mix of avocado and mango set in a tower and surrounded
with a fusion of lettuce leaves

Freshly made leek and potato soup served with a cheesy crouton

A smoked mackerel mousse set on a bed of peppery rocket leaves
finished with a balsamic vinegar dressing

A striped chicken and Parma ham terrine sandwiched
with a chive and garlic butter

A trio of seasonal melon spiked with fresh mint

An avocado and crab tower flavoured with a mild red chilli
dressing served with a mix of seasonal lettuce leaves

Thinly sliced smoked salmon rosettes served with a
home made cucumber pickle

A smooth duck liver terrine flavoured with port wine and brandy


Main Courses

Fillet of pork roasted in the oven and finished with a blackberry
and vodka sauce

Fillet of haddock set on a base of buttered leeks and topped
with a mild seed mustard and cream sauce

Chicken breast crammed with a spinach and nutmeg mousse
roasted in a hot oven and served with a rich red wine sauce

Rack of lamb roasted until pink served with a gateau of roasted
peppers and courgette coated with a basil and white wine sauce

Pumpkin risotto bound with a dice of vegetables and finished
with parmesan cheese shavings

A prime sirloin steak grilled over charcoal until medium brushed with a honey glaze and set on a variety of wild mushrooms
finished with a red wine sauce

Chicken breast crammed with Emmental cheese pan fried and coated
with a port wine sauce finished with Parma ham crackling

Fillet of salmon baked in the oven and complemented with a
crab and brandy sauce

Fillet of cod roasted in garlic butter set on a base of tomato
and rosemary sauce


Dessert Menu


Iced redcurrant parfait served with a mango and vanilla sauce

White chocolate and Bacardi mousse served with a
cappuccino sauce

Raspberry & whisky scented crème brulee topped with brown sugar
and glazed under a hot grill

A mandarin flavoured cheesecake set on an orange and vanilla sauce

Hot toffee pudding coated with a fudge sauce loaded with a
mix of walnuts, almonds and hazelnuts

Dark chocolate tart served with whipped cream and a raspberry sauce

Home made trio of ice cream set in a delicate basket and
served with a fruit sauce

Profiteroles crammed with whipped cream and topped
with a rich dark chocolate sauce

Meringue topped with seasonal fruits set on a base of
strawberry and crème anglaise sauce
